Detailed Description of this trip:

During our South Africa Cultural Tours, we will introduce you to the people, history, culture, customs, traditions, lifestyle that have made South Africa into what it is today. Visit the village where Nelson Mandela grew up, and on our Eastern Cape Tours, have the opportunity to tour, for example, the Nelson Mandela Museum.

Trip Itinerary:

  • Day 1 - East London


    Meet guests at East London Airport. Take a brief tour through East London City, then proceed to Mdantsane the second biggest township in the Southern Hemisphere. Here we will walk and meet township folk and experience township life.

    Food and Dining

    We will then proceed to Mgwali cultural village and enjoy a traditional lunch, traditional dancing, stick fighting and story telling.

    Bed & Breakfast

    We will stay overnight at Mgwali.

  • Day 2 - South Africa


    Have breakfast here and guests get involved in village projects e.g. Crafts, cooking and field work ..get to know the area by walking around the village, and surrounding local area, accompnaied by a guide..the quite, slow pace, and peacefulness of the area, will touch your soul...

    Bed & Breakfast

    We will stay overnight at Mgwali this way you can really get a feel of your host family, and local village life.

  • Day 3 - South Africa


    Have breakfast and leave for Alice through Keiskammahoek a very scenic route along the Amathole mountains- one of the longest mountain ranges in South Africa...


    We arrive at the popular Education Center of the Eastern cape in Alice and visit Fort Hare University, the university that educated many of our leaders of today including former President Nelson Mandela.

    Arts, Crafts and Antiques

    We visit the breathtaking collection of African Art created by the Africans themselves at the De Beer Centenary Art Gallery . This art depicts life as they see it. We will also visit the ANC Arhives.


    We then leave for King William’s Town after lunch. We visit the Amathole Museum and Steve Biko’s home and his grave weather permitting.


    Overnight in King William’s Town at a local guest house.

  • Day 4 - East London

    Private Car Service

    Leave King William’s Town after breakfast for East London and drop off our guests.
