This 6 - day treasure cities tour of Laos will give you a premium experience of three charming cities, surrounding traditional villages, religious and mysterious sites. We will start with Vientiane, the Capital of Laos. Then, we go to Xiengkhouang, the well known plain of mysterious jars. Finally, we visit the cultural heritage city of Luang Prabang.

Day 1 - Laos
Explore historical and religious museum of the Capital
On arrival in Vientiane Capital, you are met and transferred to centrally hotel. After a short rest, we take for sightseeing tour of the capital: including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues, visit the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. We then, drive to That Luang Stupa, the single most important monument in Laos. On the way back to hotel, we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. Day 2 - On the Bus
Discover the mysterious big jars
We board a short flight to Xiengkhouang, which was devastated by American bombing between 1964 and 1973. Upon arrival, we transfer out to visit the First Site of Plain of Jars, covering an area of around 50 km, with jars of up to 3 metres high, they continue to baffle historians. Recent theory is that they are funeral urns – the larger the jar, the more important the person – but other historical artifacts found in the area have brought the experts no closer to understanding the civilization that created them. We also have time, this afternoon seeing the old capital of Muang Khoun and the nearby villages, home of Hmong Hill Tribe and Tai Dam with interesting local culture and a colorful history. Day 3 - On the Bus

Early morning, we visit the Central Market of Phonsavanh to watch the different hill tribe people barter and exchange merchandises. We then head out this small town towards Luang Prabang, on the way we stop off to see the Buddha images in Thampra, a site more than 200 years old, and various Hmong and hill tribe minority villages along the way. Really nice and friendly people welcome you to their villages. After a photo stop, we continue driving uphill, enjoying the splendid natural scenery of the mountains, the forest and landscape. After a tea or coffee break at Sala Phoukhoun, where the borders of Vientiane-Xiengkhouang-Luang Prabang meet as a T-Junction. The journey will take us over mountainous regions until we approach Luang Prabang.

Day 4 - On the Bus
Visit the classical architecture of Luang Prabang, the World Heritage Town
Today, we enjoy a short-guided tour of the heritage city’s oldest temple, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low representing the classical architecture of Luang Prabang. We then embark on a boat journey upstream along the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at Ban Xanghai Village, where they make the distillation of local rice wine (made of sticky rice). Have lunch at local restaurant. Return back to Luang Prabang by the same boat.
Day 5 - On the Bus
Relax with beautiful waterfall, forest and hill tribe villages
After breakfast, we drive 30 km to Kuangsi Waterfall, which is the beautiful spot for picnics, swimming and relaxing. On the way we stop at Ban Na Sao, Ban Na Ouan - Hmong villages. On Arrival at waterfall, we walk through forest take a short trekking. Possible to swim here. Return back to Luang Prabang, at leisure on your own.
Day 6 - On Foot
Observe the dailylife of people in the cultural heritage city before saying goodbye
An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession. This is a real highlight of the tour prior to saying goodbye to this charming city. Following breakfast, we visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through to the last sovereign. Free on your own till transfer to Luang Praabng Airport for flight to your home.
