Urban/ Rural/ Safari/ Ocean Experience
Urban/ Rural/ Safari/ Ocean Experience

These packages are a general trip lay out. I have left them purposely free of activities so you can add in local South Africa World Cup activities as they become known/available, and or local tours which you want to do... We will do this as we go along. These South Africa World Cup Travel packages are custom designed, and as such can be changed to meet your needs. The availability of South Africa World Cup tickets is closely maintained by FIFA, and as the World Cup get closer, their is a specific time line and process to obtain tickets. Since their is a limited amount of world cup tickets, and not everyone will be able to obtain tickets, their will be huge fan parks where the games can be viewed. As such, I can design your World Cup Soccer package to maximize your stay in South Africa, enjoying the multiple and varied opportunities to view the 2010 World Cup Games, as well as to experience the beauty and variety that South Africa has to offer. We can use the type of lodging you want to meet your budget. We can extend or shorten these trips as you like. Remember that within South Africa many of the bigger cities are destinations within themselves. Map of the stadiums: 3 of them on the ocean: Durban, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town 1 of them very close to the Kruger National Park: Nelspruit 1 of them relatively close to Botswana, and a United Nations World Heritage Park: Polokwane with nice cultural tours 5 of them are urban areas, some large, some smaller: Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria So if you are going to enjoy the World Cup atmosphere, and cannot afford a game ticket or tickets, there will be huge TVs in all or most of these cities with the games being shown.. The atmosphere will be incredible, with lots to do and enjoy in between games. Imagine watching the games with he ocean in the background.....memorable locations to watch the worlds favorite game.

Tutoring Support for a Ndebele Village
Tutoring Support for a Ndebele Village

Our partner Ndebele Village and community is situated 40 km outside Pretoria. The village has a low level of adult literacy and employment. The village inhabitants and surrounding community send their children to various government schools in the area. However, after-school support facilities are sorely needed. All kinds of tutoring support for children and adult basic education and training (ABET) is welcome. YOU may volunteer your time tutoring children and adults from the Ndebele Village and surroundings by providing tutoring classes in many subjects, teaching computer literacy, setting a computer network, assisting in sport activities, music, drama, helping with routine maintenance/upgrading and more. YOU will be living within the community you volunteer in by staying in the Ndebele Village. The village inhabitants still live in a traditional manner and practice their time-old customs, despite the influence of modernisation. The houses and enclosures are painted with the colourful geometric patterns for which the Ndebele are famous, often incorporating modern aspects such as telephones and the SA flag. YOU will be accommodated in the village lodge in comfortable twin bed rooms and you will have the opportunity to sleep in the traditional huts as well. The lodge is held in trust by the community and was build with funds after the community was forcibly removed under Apartheid. YOU may enjoy your meal either in the small conference centre/restaurant or share it with a family in the traditional way. During your stay YOU could learn the intricate art of Ndebele beading and assist with the ongoing traditional mural paintings. YOU may even ask the resident “witch doctor” or traditional healer to throw the bones and tell you what he sees in your future! Your donation included in the project fee will contribute to the long-term sustainability of the project. On your return home you may continue to support the project with on-going donations directly into the project account.

Vets-In-The-Wild Expeditions
Vets-In-The-Wild Expeditions

Join us for the experience of a lifetime, a field study program in South Africa for students in veterinary fields and wildlife conservation. Experience the world of wildlife conservation in Southern Africa, hands-on. Meet and interact with conservationists and wildlife veterinarians in the field. Learn about the crucial balance of people and wildlife in conservation today. Gain hands-on experience by taking part in game capture operations. Earn university credits for these programs. EcoLife Expeditions is an extension program of the Centre for Wildlife Management, and has been conducting short-term field study programs for international students since 1999. Two study programs are currently presented, the Vets-in-the-Wild program and the Wildlife Management program. The expeditions are in the form of a camping safari, and the duration is around 3 weeks. Students interact with rangers, veterinarians and researchers working in the field, giving them an insight into life, successes and problems associated with conservation in Africa today. Participants also meet and learn from pioneers in game capture and those actively involved in the field of wildlife veterinary science on a day-to-day basis. The program includes a Capture and Care course where students participate in actual game capture operations. Students also observe the role that veterinarians play at a rehabilitation centre, a reptile park and a rare-species breeding ranch. This program is open to veterinary and pre-veterinary students, currently enrolled at a recognized tertiary educational institution, as well as qualified professionals and also to interested persons. Qualifying students could enroll for the NLB 311 Ecosystems Management course at the University of Pretoria, and receive 4 credits on completion. The Course includes: Wildlife Veterinary Science, Wildlife Diseases and Medicine, Capture and Care of Wild Animals, Breeding of Rare Species, Wildlife Rehabilitation, and Ecosystems and Biodiversity Conservations.
