Pickens, formerly called Pickens Courthouse, is a town in Pickens County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 3,012 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Pickens County[3]. It was named after Andrew Pickens (17391817), an American revolutionary soldier and US Congressman for South Carolina.
