General Information about Kelly

Laura Kelly is a Democratic member of the Kansas Senate, representing the 18th District since 2005. She is currently the Senate Minority Whip. Kelly graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Psychology from Bradley University and an MS in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana University.[1]
On October 9, 2009, Kelly announced her intention to run for the Democratic nomination for the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2nd District of Kansas.[2] Kelly would challenge one-term Republican incumbent Lynn Jenkins in the general election.
