Enfield is a town located in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 45,212 at the 2000 census. It sits on the border with Longmeadow, Massachusetts and East Longmeadow, Massachusetts to the north, Somers to the east, East Windsor and Ellington to the south, and the Connecticut River (towns of Suffield and Windor Locks) to the west.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 34.2 square miles (88.6 km²), of which, 33.4 square miles (86.5 km²) of it is land and 0.8 square miles (2.1 km²) of it (2.43%) is water.
