General Information about Cary
Cary is the second largest municipality in Wake County, North Carolina and the third largest municipality in The Triangle (North Carolina) behind Raleigh and Durham. It is the seventh largest municipality in North Carolina.[4] As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of about 94,536.[5] Town records show a population of 127,640 as of January 1, 2008.[6] Cary is the 8th fastest growing city in the United States according to CNN.[7] A small part of the town extends into Chatham County.
