Sunnyside is a city in Yakima County, Washington, United States. The population was 13,905 at the 2000 census.
Sunnyside is the birthplace of football coach Scott Linehan, the head coach of the NFL's St. Louis Rams. NASA astronaut Bonnie Dunbar graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1967. Scott Linehan graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1982. Rob Thomas, the creator of Veronica Mars was born in Sunnyside in 1965. Jens Pulver, a famous boxing and mma fighter, was born December 6 , 1974.
