Edwardsville is a city in Madison County, Illinois, United States. As of the 2005 census, the city population was 24,047, it is the county seat of Madison County[1] and is the third oldest city in the State of Illinois. The city was named in honor of Ninian Edwards, Governor of Illinois. It is a community that is rich in history and full of beautiful homes and neighborhoods.
