Stevenson is a city in Skamania County, Washington, United States. The population was 1,200 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Skamania County[3] and home to the Skamania County Court House and Sheriff's Office. Stevenson is home to the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center, which focuses on several tribes that were once located near the Columbia River.

"Great Place to Live!"
My husband and I have lived in Stevenson Wa. for the past 7 years and we absolutely love it here! Home prices are reasonable and the tax structure is kind to retirees. The small town atmosphere is refreshing and the locals are friendly. Fishing, hiking, golf and water sports are all available if you are the active type. For those of us who are a little more sedentary, the views are incrediable! Options for shopping are a little thin but we are only 45 minutes to Portland and Vancouver. Closest hospital is about 30 minutes away but we do have a clinic here.Crime and traffic are both scarce but the rain is plentiful!
