My Dad should absolutely not be driving but he refuses to give up his independence. I’m sure others have had the same problem. I don’t want to call the police but I’m terrified he will hurt himself or others.

    Niftyifty,

Have you tried speaking with his physician about the driving concerns? Sometimes a family physician will be 'the bad guy' and tell the patient it is no longer safe for them to drive. You can also call your local DMV to ask for their advice. In some communities they will look into the problem and issue a notice to the senior asking them to turn in their drivers license. They do not reveal where they got their information.

    Good luck!
