"What is the best baseball card price guide?"
Replies
As an avid baseball card collector I strongly recommend the 2008 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards by Dan Fluckinger. It offers a wealth of detailed information. At 1848 pages it is a virtual encyclopedia of baseball cards. I think it’s a lot better than the Beckett book.
http://www.rookiestars.com has a totally free online sports card price guide.
The reliable way to get values is here: http://www.vintagecardprices.com/baseball-card-price-guide.htm all prices are based on past sales transactions on ebay and major auction houses updated every day.
A free way to check your baseball cards value is http://www.thebaseballcardsguide.com. It's an easy to navigate website and it's free.

As a boy growing up I collected baseball cards. Do kids still do that today? Anyway, my collection of more than 500 cards is probably worth something – maybe not a trip to Europe, but I’d still like to know their value. I’ve been able to find out quite a bit by looking at eBay auctions, but wonder if other boomers can recommend a good price guide for baseball cards. I started collecting in 1953.
