I’ve been receiving catalogs through the mail for years but find I shop much more frequently on-line. I’d like to cancel most of the catalogs to save a few trees and help out my mail carrier. I heard there is a website that makes it easy to get off mailing lists. Does anyone know what it is?

http://www.catalogchoice.org/ is a free we site that lets you opt out of catalogs you don’t want.

Yes, the catalogchoice is the only thing I know about. But the bad news is, I've been adding to this site for a couple years now. But the same catalogues keep coming regularly. I don't think they necessarily pay much attention to our requests to stop.

Whether you want to save trees, protect your privacy or are just sick of getting unwanted mail, check out worldprivacyforum.org that posts "Top 10 Opt Outs". It's basically a how-to on how to make companies stop sending you catalogs, credit card offers, span, etc.
