Hello Greengirl,
Caring for an aging parent fom a distance can be overwhelming. You might consider looking into a Nurse Care Manager who can help you develop a plan of care to keep your mother safe and give you peace of mind. I highly recommend Your Support Nurse. They are experienced, reliable and of high integrity. Their website is: www.yoursupportnurse.com. The toll free # is !-866-439-7103.

My mother lives alone in a retirement community in Florida, while I am in New York. Recently, I can tell that she has stopped going out as much. It seems like a fall from 2 months ago has her a bit scared. I want to try and keep her active and feel that we may be at a tipping point. However, since I'm not there every day to do it myself, I'm left feeling a bit powerless. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do from a distance? Thanks.
