My husband and I around 5 years away from our retirement and, unlike many of our friends, we plan on retiring and staying in NYC rather than moving to a warmer climate. We couldn't imagine not living in the busiest - and greatest - city on Earth --- but at the same time we are worried about going through the trials and tribulations of growing old in a city that can be a bit unforgiving. So, I'm wondering if anyone who has chosen the same path has any advice? Are there any particular retirement groups that we can join?
