When I lived and worked in New York City I walked to and from work every day, rain or shine. The 2+ miles of healthy exercise also provided a chance to explore the city and save money on subways and bus fares. Now that I have retired I find I miss the daily exercise and adventure that walking offered. Are there resources for finding walking groups or trails in my new hometown of Greenwich, Connecticut?

Snowbird, take a look at http://www.walkscore.com/

type in your town and youll see a google map with restaurants, stores and parks.

it helps you determine how far you have to walk to each and scores your town based on how “walkable” it is... Its also a great resource to determine if a town you are considering relocating to will be a walker’s paradise or not conducive to walking.
