"Substitution for onions and garlic"
Replies
Have you tried using other flavorful foods like basil, tomaotos, carrots or parsnips? Maybe even some celery will help to give a similar texture as onions? There are also the great spices of oregeno and rosemary, which will certainly make food flavorful. Hope that helps!

I have an ulcerated esophagus and can't eat onions or garlic but all savory recipes seem to include them. What vegetables or herbs can be used in their place to add flavor to soups or casseroles?
