I recently retired and purchased an RV. My wife and I look forward to touring the USA in our new home-away-from-home. I’ve found a few good sites for RV lovers and would love to hear about good road trips and tips.

roadrunner, you should check out http://roadtripamerica.com/. It has a lot to offer, including road trip deals and driving directions, a gas calculator, reviews of audio books, tips for unique trips and interesting blogs. While it’s not specifically for the boomer crowd we found a lot of information to make our travels more rewarding. Happy trails to you!!!

I used to be a travel planner for road trips. Didn't do airlines or anything, it was strictly for road trips. Might I suggest going to the Black Hills of S.D? I have traveled all over the U.S and S.D. is my favorite place by far! If you decide to, let me know, I can even get you a fascinating tour of the Reservation up there. :)
