    Why would no one reply? I hope you are still checking into this site. This is a universal question that could be discussed until the time we all die. I hope you reply or someone picks up this topic.

    I don't know if you go to church, and this may sound simple, but I think probably the BEST comfort would come from connecting with God.

    I died 15 years ago. Ate some nuts that took me out. Nothing too it.

    Just like going to sleep. Now, the real question is where ya goin' after death? Me...I'm counting on Jesus, so what's to worry?

    Really, there are a lot of things worse than dying.

    I agree with Roberta. Connecting with God keeps me going and provides great comfort and assurance. The bible teaches us that once we are "absent from the body," we are immediately " present with the Lord." It's that HOPE of being in His presence, and away from all the pain and turmoil in the world that gives me the confidence not to fear death. I hope you find your peace.
