I just read about a study undertaken at Tufts University in Boston. and presented to the American Heart Association. This study found that drinking hibiscus tea (pure, not blended) significantly lowered blood pressure. The people in the study drank an eight ounce glass of hibiscus tea three times a day for six weeks. The results were dramatic - their systolic blood pressure was reduced an average of 7 points. (about the same as taking drugs, without the side effects) People with higher blood pressure had an even greater drop.
