She specializes in the areas of retirement and estate planning for individuals and their families and considers herself a "preservation specialist" when dealing with one's life savings. Phillis is a published author, national presenter on the topics of income planning, 401(k) rollovers and advanced IRA tax reduction strategies. She has instructed hundreds of other financial service professionals on how to assist retiring boomers with transitioning from the working years to the retirement years, as well as assisting retirees with proper income planning. Additionally, Phillis educates area residents on comprehensive estate and retirement planning issues, helping them avoid the hardships that may come with an under-planned or unplanned retirement.
An avid believer in ethics and as part of her responsibility to her clients, Phillis was approved to join the National Ethics Bureau in 2005. The approval process required Phillis to volunteer transparency for a background check and comprehensive seven-year review with all regulatory bodies, including the FINRA, SEC and all state insurance and securities boards, along with a background check for criminal, civil and business violations. Membership is only granted to those that meet the organization's pristine background requirements. Since her approval, she has been featured in their monthly publication as a member who truly exemplifies a "passion for ethics".

She has been recognized by multiple industry organizations as a role model for women interested in pursuing a financial career and has been featured as a cover story in a leading industry magazine, Senior Market Advisor, with the headline reading "What Glass Ceiling?" She was named as a finalist in the top five "Advisor of the Year" awards and is frequently asked to share her story at various industry events.
Phillis' educational background includes an affiliation with nationally acclaimed IRA expert, Ed Slott as a member of the Ed Slott Master Elite Advisor Group™. She has earned the prestigious CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLANNING COUNSELOR™(CRPC®) designation from the College for Financial Planning.
