Charlene Dolan is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(tm) professional and investment adviser representative of Commonwealth Financial Network, a registered investment adviser. A general securities representative, Charlene is also a licensed insurance agent and has made Amesbury her home since 1981. Charlene is also an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®.

Prior to establishing Dolan Financial Services, Charlene held the position of Vice President of The Provident Bank and provided financial planning and investment services to clients of the bank's advisory practice. Previously, Charlene held a supervisory position within the shareholder services division at Putnam Investments and as a 401(k) plan administrator with Scudder Investments. She also has eight years of tax preparation experience.

Charlene began her professional career in health care, focusing on utilization review and regional health care planning. In the early '80s, she was employed at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute researching health care legislation and public policy issues for the Regional Cancer Control Program. Charlene then became licensed as a nursing home administrator and managed a 120-patient Medicare skilled-nursing facility.

The experience in health care and long-term care provide a unique point of reference when addressing client questions and concerns regarding risk management, disability and long-term care planning. Charlene's tax background enables her to raise pertinent questions and to anticipate questions/issues.

Charlene works closely with attorneys and accountants to insure consistency and a holistic approach to addressing the needs of clients.

At Dolan Financial Services, we have the flexibility of offering a fee-based or commission-based compensation arrangements. Options are discussed in detail with each client and are based on each client's needs and preferences.
