Michael is the Chief Investment Officer of Team Oana Investment Advisors. He attended the University of South Carolina and graduated in only three years with degrees in both management and marketing. After graduation, Mr. Oana turned his internship at Merrill Lynch into a full time position, and ultimately rose to the position of Assistant Vice President of the Columbia, South Carolina office.

After 12 years with Merrill Lynch, Michael left to start his own investment firm, Team Oana, which specializes in working with retirees and business owners. Michael holds a Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 Securities License and is licensed in many states, in addition to holding an Insurance License in South Carolina.

During his many years in the investment industry, Michael has been honored with numerous awards including being named in The State Newspaper's "Top 20 Under 40" Club for 2008. This award is given to the top 20 business leaders under age 40.

Within the community, Michael is the Founder of the Columbia CEO Association and a board member of the Shandon Neighbor Council, trustee at Shandon Presbyterian Church, a former member of the Shandon neighborhood association, and supports many charities including the Heart to Heart charity golf tournament. The money raised at this tournament is used to fund Heart Research at Providence Hospital.
