Richard S. Gardner, CFP(R), RFC(R) enjoyed a rewarding 26 year career in law enforcement before pursuing his passion for financial planning and continuing his calling of service to others. He received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Maryland, University College and is a graduate of the College for Financial Planning, CFP Certification Education Program. Richard has also received the Registered Financial Consultant (RFC) designation through the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants and is a member of the Central Virginia Chapter of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).

Richard also holds the Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist designation issued by the Institute of Consumer Financial Education. He is available to assist small business owners with their risk management plans and to speak on the topic of identity theft and it's prevention at any organization's meetings.
