Donald E. Askey, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM) certificant, has been providing financial counseling services to clients, both individual and institutional, for fifteen years. Donald is employed as a senior vice president of The Provident Bank and is the president and senior adviser of the bank's Provident Advisory Group.

Donald started his professional career in management and consulting, primarily for service firms. With his background in strategic planning and marketing, he founded a trust department and asset-management program at a community bank in central Pennsylvania.

In 1998, The Provident Bank invited him to establish a planning-based practice under the bank's aegis with the same emphasis the bank places on premier client and community service.

Donald's investment-advisory teeth were cut in the early 1970s, when, during the stock market's worst post-Depression era, he oversaw an educational endowment fund of $500,000. In this case, the worst case became the first case and a lesson in prudence he has brought to every client since.

The distinctive strengths Donald brings to the Provident Advisory Group team are management and leadership, fee-based account management, and designing strategies to provide comfort in clients' futures.
